Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. The Minnesota Department of Education intends to proceed with the registration for 11 staff members from the Student Access and Opportunity Division to attend the National ESEA Conference. The conference is three days of learning and skill-building focused on supporting disadvantaged children. There will be presentations from leaders in education sharing their knowledge, skills and strategies needed to positively impact our students. The U.S. Department of Education will share important updates about federal education funding issues. Attending virtually will allow attendees access to the conference information until mid-May. Their schedule covers valuable topics for our division: Title I, Parts A, C and D; Title II, Part A; Title III, Part A, Title IV, Parts A and B; Title V, Part B, Title VI, Part A and Title VII, Part B. They ensure compliance with federal regulations, but more importantly they work to see that all children — especially those living in economically disadvantaged conditions — have the opportunity to receive a high-quality education.
