This specification describes the general requirements for the electrical repairs, installations and materials for St. Charles Parish, Department of Waterworks. It’s objective to obtain a comprehensive long term, cost effective, preventative and demand electrical service such that the maximum useful life of electrical equipment can be achieved. Only contractors with experienced, trained professional personnel, directly employed or supervised by the contractor, will be considered. Only precision, high quality professional workmanship shall be acceptable. The contractor shall provide the adequate number of licensed electricians and helpers to fulfill the requirements of this contract. The on-site electrician shall be fully trained to perform industrial electrical work, have program logic control training, variable frequency drive training, fiber optic training, and category five (5) cable training. Additionally, this on-site licensed electrician shall have the skill, knowledge, proficiency and other necessary qualifications to install, maintain, troubleshoot, inspect, disassemble, repair, rebuild, replace and reassemble any of the waterworks electrical elements and systems.
