St. Charles Parish requires bulk fuel on an as needed basis per the following: 1) Diesel Fuel – Low Sulfur Diesel Fuel and Red Dye Low Sulfur Diesel Fuel a. Low Sulfur Diesel Fuel #2 Distillate – New Orleans Average Weekly Rack 2) Regular Unleaded 87 Octane Gasoline – NO ETHANOL – New Orleans Average Weekly Rack 3) This bid shall be used for all East Bank locations as specified. Delivery and Fuel Tank Monitoring: • During non-emergency time, successful bidder will respond within fifteen (15) minutes of the initial St. Charles Parish call. Bidder shall deliver fuel within 24 hours of the notification. • Successful bidder shall place level sensors on respective fuel sites/tanks so that fuel levels may be monitored by the bidder. Fuel levels shall not be less than 50% at any given time during normal operations. • Deliveries shall be made accordingly and coordinated with respective site managers. The successful bidder is solely responsible with installation, maintenance and repairs of sensors to ensure accuracy in reporting. • The successful bidder must make every reasonable effort to have an adequate supply of gasoline to meet St. Charles Parish requirements, as ordered when ordered, during the life of the Contract. However, in the event the contractor cannot make delivery within the time stated, St. Charles Parish reserves the right to purchase Gasoline from the next lowest bidder or from the open market. • The successful contractor shall be equipped with fuel trucks capable of servicing all gasoline tank locations throughout St. Charles Parish. • The successful bidder must have an office staff, a dedicated phone line and an email address and must be able to respond within 24 hours during normal times after notification. • Successful bidder’s equipment must be well maintained and in safe working condition
