We are soliciting bids for an SMS service that has API capabilities so we can build a texting application for our admissions department around it. The application we plan to build will send both bulk and individual text messages to prospective students. It needs to have Python integration capabilities. We anticipate sending 700,000 or more segments a year. We need at least seven 800 numbers. We may do up to 10,000 MMS message a year. Pricing should include higher education discounts. The system must have the ability to forward a message coming in on an 800 number to a personal cell number. It must also be able to route a reply from the personal cell number back through the 800 number to the sender without revealing the personal cell number of the respondent. The system must have a console where admissions professionals can view responses to text messages that are not automatically routed to individual cellphones. We are looking for significant higher education discounts as we are not a for-profit higher education institution.
