2.2 Background and Purpose 2.2.1 The MVA plays a vital role in ensuring mobility for Maryland residents and road users. MVA is responsible for providing several tasks but not limited to licensing all commercial and non-commercial drivers, and manages Driver Instructional, Vehicle Services, Driver Wellness and Motor Vehicle Safety Programs etc. 2.2.2 The purpose of issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to procure an HVAC RTU Replacement at the MVA White Oak Branch Office. Work requirements include: • Direct Replacement of RTU and ERV with new equivalent high efficiency units on a one-toone replacement basis. • Completely remove existing RTU and ERV its components and controls to facilitate newly installed units. • RTU – 1 Two separate refrigeration circuits VFD On roof, provide roof curb support. • Provide supply and return duct support on roof, RPS equipment rail ER-2A and associated components if components are not reusable. • Provide electrical disconnect switch fused and liquid tight to RTU with new condensate drain lines. • Ensure supply air duct down through roof is watertight at penetration. Provide new commercial roofer installed pitch pockets as needed for all penetrations. • ERV-1 provide roof curb support. Exhaust air duct down through roof, watertight at penetration. Provide any new commercial roofer installed pitch pockets, as necessary. • ERV-1 sized to match unit. (RIK) • Remove and replace with new Duct Detectors. Test fire system off hours. • Warranty, as-builds, and red lines will be provided by the contractor. • Integrate New RTU to existing BAS Control Carrier IVU. • Reseal all ductwork on roof. • Adhere to all ASHRAE and SMACNA energy design guidelines and codes. • Detach and reinstall all previously installed controls, thermostats, and sensors to original condition. • Perform start up procedures and confirm the system is running at design conditions. • Conduct and record the TAB process.
