To provide the furnishing, delivery, servicing, and sanitization/cleaning of portable chemical toilets for using agencies/departments at various locations within Anne Arundel County, Maryland. 1. GENERAL 1. This Specification covers the furnishing and delivery, as well as the servicing and sanitizing/cleaning of portable chemical toilets at various locations and with various departments and agencies within the County. 2. Additional locations may be added, deleted, and/or modified in writing during the Contract period at any time. All changes to the unit locations and quantities shall be made in writing by the County to the Successful Bidder. The Successful Bidder shall have up to one (1) week to deliver or remove the added/deleted port-a-pots from the initial request submitted by the County. The Successful Bidder shall notify the County via email when the port-a-pot has been delivered or removed. 3. All toilets shall be serviced as requested by instructions on blanket order release or notification to proceed. Cleanings shall align with bid rates provided. Services shall preferably be just before the weekend, some locations may require different servicing (i.e. Quiet Waters Park, Thomas Point Park, and Fort Smallwood Park require cleaning services two (2) times per week from April through October) depending on the time of year and use. 4. Toilets shall be serviced including disinfecting as often as required and contracted for by the County. Disinfecting includes but is not limited to emptying the waste and debris, using water with sanitizer, wiping/washing down the exterior, and wiping/washing down the interior with antibacterial cleaner. Servicing not only includes disinfecting the toilet but also includes restocking of all supplies such as toilet paper and hand sanitizer where applicable. Hand sanitizers and refills, as needed, shall be included in the costs for all toilets, both regular and handicapped. 5. Toilets shall be kept in good operating condition and without damage at all times, making necessary repairs or replacements when required. If the toilet is not functional, or the damage/repair may be a safety issue, it shall be replaced within 24 hours (weekends included). Repairs that do not hinder the function of the toilet may be delayed to the next business day at the sole discretion of the County. 6. All toilets shall be high-density polyethylene. They shall resist burning, damage, and contain odor -resistant qualities. The County is responsible for the damage or destruction of a chemical toilet. The County shall be responsible for any stolen chemical toilets. 7. The Successful Bidder shall be responsible for the disposal of all waste from the premises for the chemical toilets in such locations, and in such manner, as to be in conformance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws.
