The new Field Sports Building near the OSU track and softball facilities is a purpose-built space designed to enhance training, competition preparedness, and wellness for Oregon State University's five field-based sports. This state-of-the-art facility will provide an upgraded environment for coaches, athletes, visiting teams, and officials, supporting both daily operations and high-stakes event requirements. Encompassing 15,000–20,000 gross square feet (GSF), the building is anticipated to be one or two stories and will feature a variety of specialized areas, including dedicated coaches’ offices for Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Softball, and Cross Country/Track & Field. Athletes will benefit from well-equipped locker rooms, showers, restrooms, and shared spaces that promote wellness and readiness. The facility will also include versatile support spaces, such as conference rooms, a film room, storage, training areas, and a reception/lounge for multi-functional use. Additionally, designated areas for visiting teams and game officials will provide essential amenities and comfort, ensuring a positive experience for all guests. Exterior pathways and circulation infrastructure will seamlessly integrate with adjacent track and softball facilities, creating a cohesive and accessible environment. The Field Sports Building reflects OSU’s commitment to excellence in athletics, providing a modern space to meet the diverse needs of its field sports programs.
