The Illinois State Police is securing a ten (10) year contract with this vendor who will provide the agency with indefinite quantity of Promega brand name only commodities, equipment and services. The vendor warrants that all products purchased under this agreement are authentic, new and conform to the quality standards required by the Illinois State Police Division of Forensic Services. The vendor agrees to provide proof of authenticity and any relevant certifications upon request of the Agency. In order to maintain laboratory accreditation and to comply with the requirements for participation in the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS), the Illinois State Police (ISP) laboratories use commodities and analytical equipment which have been validated for Human Identification applications. The commodities and supplies sold by Promega are already validated for use in the ISP forensic laboratories and are used on a daily basis for extraction, quantitation and amplification of DNA from biological samples submitted by convicted felons and from evidence submitted by law enforcement agencies. This is a ten (10) year contract which will begin February 1, 2025, which will allow for economic adjustments outlined in section 2.3 of this contract.
