The purpose of this work is to conduct aerial line-transect surveys of harbor porpoises in Southeast Alaska. Additionally, other marine mammal species and locations will be recorded during the survey. Surveys are to be conducted in tandem between one survey aircraft and one waterborne survey vessel. Results from this survey will be used to inform population estimates for the harbor porpoise in southeast Alaska’s primary waterways. We are seeking to contract a qualified and experienced survey pilot(s) and aircraft for aerial surveys of harbor porpoise in SE Alaska.
