This item consists of cutting and removal of trees as specified and directed. Stump Removal and grinding is not included. Only remove trees as indicated in the plans and as marked by the engineer. An arborist licensed by the State of Louisiana shall be present during removals when there are trees to remain or as required by the engineer. Stumps shall be left no higher than 4” above the ground. All sites shall be left in satisfactory condition in accordance with 104.04, including damage to slopes, embankments, ditches, vegetation, etc. Tree Removal shall be measured per each and shall include all work, equipment, materials and labor required for the cutting of the tree, disposal of the tree. The diameter will be measured 4.5 feet above natural ground and is obtained by wrapping a measuring tape around the trunk and recording the circumference in inches. Diameter = circumference ÷ 3.14.
