1. The services to be performed by retained counsel (“COUNSEL”) may consist of one or more of the following tasks: (a) Provide legal advice and support for "PERM Alien Labor Certification" applications and employment-based immigrant petitions, including filings in the Outstanding Professor/Researcher category, the National Interest Waiver category, and the advanced degree and/or professional category based upon an approved PERM labor certification or waiver of labor certification. (b) Provide legal advice and support for nonimmigrant petitions in employment based classifications such as H-1B, O-1 and TN classification, among others. (c) Prepare and submit waivers of the two-year foreign home residence requirement, including those for physicians and other graduate medical education or training participants. d) Assist, advise, and provide legal counsel to the CSCU/UCH/UCONN upon request. Anticipated legal services may include international student or exchange visitor regulatory and SEVIS compliance, F-1 international studentathlete regulatory compliance with Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) initiatives, and compliance with federal immigration laws related to undocumented individuals on campus.
