1. The generator set shall be Standby and have a 250-kW rating. The additional ratings shall be 1800 RPM, 0.8 power factor, 480Y/277 VAC, 3 phase, 4 wire, 60 hertz, including radiator fan and all parasitic loads. 2. The contractor shall furnish a complete 250kw/312.5kva, 480/277V, 3ph standby diesel generator set. The generator set shall include: generator; generator control panel; main circuit breaker (500Amp, 3P); generator pad; 24hr rated fuel tank and automatic transfer switch (Service Entrance Rated, 800Amp Structure with 800A, 3P molded case normal power Main Breaker with LSI electronic trip unit, 480V, 3P, 4W with solid neutral, 65kAIC; in NEMA 4X stainless steel enclosure). The contractor shall include a set of aluminum steps for access in case of center of the grip of the operating handle of the generator main circuit breaker, when in its highest position, is more than 6'-7". The generator supplier shall confirm the generator calculations prior to bid, based on specified loads. If a larger generator is required to run the loads, then contractor shall include a larger generator and upsize the generator main breaker as needed. A letter of guarantee shall be provided including load calculations to verify the generator selection.
