During spring or summer when ground is free of snow, complete a certified land survey of the boundaries of Stuart Creek IA based on Ft Wainwright Real Property with Range Control defined GIS impact area boundaries. In conjunction with the land survey, contractor must complete an Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) survey/clearing of the impact areas’ boundary lines out to 15 ft where subsequent vegetation clearing will occur. During land survey and UXO survey, the contractor will complete enough hand clearing to install warning signs and posts at required intervals defined in DA PAM 385-63 Section 2-2.c. (200 m intervals or less depending on visibility). The contractor must also provide GPS locates for each installed signs and the GPS extent of the vegetation clearing around the IA perimeter so Range Management can track this newly cleared vegetation as a firebreak.
