Contractor shall provide aviation safety courses identified in Item #7, along with course materials that include the content detailed within this Agreement. The objective of these courses is to provide content-specific safety training that is appropriate and required for specialty positions within the Department’s AOP and to provide training to managers and supervisors that oversee the AOP to support, educate, and develop their understanding of the SMS and the CHP’s Aviation Safety Program. 1. Contractor agrees to provide to Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP), all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary to provide Out-Service Training courses in aviation safety and the Safety Management System (SMS) to CHP managers, supervisors, and air operations personnel as indicated in Exhibit A, Item 7. Services shall be performed at a location within the State of California. Virtual/remote attendance maybe offered as an option but cannot replace the in-state restrictions listed above. 2. The services shall be performed at: Contractor’s Location TBD Upon Award. 3. The services shall be provided during: Time to be mutually agreed upon by CHP Project Representative and Contractor. A. Safety Management Systems A course that covers all aspects of the safety management system to include the fundamentals in system organization, methodology, principles of risk management, and safety assurance to assist safety managers, supervisors, safety officers, and line personnel. B. Aircraft Accident Investigation A course to familiarize students with the regulatory requirements for investigation and reporting of aircraft accidents based on National Transportation Safety Board and the International Civil Aviation Organization procedures and that covers all aspects of the investigation process. C. Human Factors in Aviation Safety A course that investigates how human factors affect performance in aviation and ways to reduce or mitigate the effects. D. Human Factors in Aviation Maintenance A course that provides knowledge and understanding of human factors in the realm of aviation safety relative to maintenance.
