The University of Wisconsin-Madison's School of Veterinary Medicine is requesting bids for the purchase of ligasure and smoke evacuator units for soft tissue surgery. New Vessel Sealing units with mono polar and bipolar capability, and Smoke Evacuator units with accessories and Carts for the new operating rooms in the UW Madison School of Veterinary Medicine North building. QTY 8: New vessel sealing units with Mono Polar and Bi-Polar Options; QTY 9: New smoke evacuators with Accessories – see below; QTY 8: Carts to support the vessel sealing units; Specifications for vessel sealing units: • Must be able to securely seal vessels up to 7 mm in diameter • Must be able to support both open and laparoscopic vessel sealing handpieces and bipolar and monopolar cautery handpieces • Must be compatible with reusable patient return electrode • Must have easily applied contact plates • Must be compatible and synchronize with a smoke evacuator unit • Compatible handpieces must be able to be re-sterilized • Must have compatible and ergonomic storage cart • Must be able to Perform procedures that require Division, Hemostasis and Dissection • Must enable 2 unique dual modes that can run at the same time; Specifications for Smoke Evacuator units with appropriate Accessories: • Must have low profile and ergonomic hand pieces • Must be compatible and synchronize with vessel sealing and cautery units • Must be easy to maintain and have readily available replacement tubing and filters • Must fit on cart and accompany the vessel sealing and cautery units • Preference for ¼” sterile tubing
