4.0 Tire Requirements: 4.1 As the tires in the possession of ATRANS at the inception of the contract are rendered permanently unfit for use and are replaced, and thereafter throughout the contract term; the Lessor shall furnish all new tires of the following types, including enough spares to ensure that tires are available at all times. _________________ 4.2 All tires shall be group branded prior to delivery to ATRANS. _________________ 4.3 Lessor shall maintain a sufficient supply of tires for each wheel on each bus, plus a sufficient number of spare tires; the amount of which shall be mutually agreed upon by Lessor and ATRANS. In the event of a manufacturing delay in tires due to a strike, the Lessor shall, to the highest degree possible, and prior to the effective day of the strike, notify ATRANS so that additional spare stock can be put in place. _________________ 5.0 Services and Appurtenances: 5.1 The Lessor shall provide valve stems, caps, cores, repair patches, plugs, and tire repair kit for checking, and repairing of tires by ATRANS employees. _________________ 5.2 ATRANS shall: 5.2.1 Investigate misalignment and other conditions reported by the Lessor and correct as necessary. _________________ 5.2.2 Service tires in accordance with accepted industry practices. _________________ 5.2.3 Keep tires inflated to conform to the approved standards of the Tire and Rim Association of America, Inc. _________________ 5.2.4 Keep garage floors and parking areas clean and free of nuts, bolts, metal, wire, etc. _________________ 5.2.5 Perform services including wheel changes, mounting and dismounting, and repair of flats as required to keep tires in proper operating condition. _________________ 5.2.6 Determine when tires need to be removed from vehicles. All Lessor tires determined by Lessor to be permanently unfit for future use shall be returned to Lessor promptly by ATRANS. _________________ 5.2.7 ATRANS shall provide proper rims for vehicles. _________________
