1.1 The Contractor shall complete the salvage removal, both exterior and interior, disposal of the buildings and structures, trees, brush, and grading at the following location. 1.1.1 The Contractor shall completely demolish structures, backfill the hole, and remove all materials and debris from the site except as otherwise provided herein, at 1514 Duff Avenue. All demolition materials and components shall be removed and disposed of by the Contractor. 1.1.2 Contractors wanting to view the interior of the house may schedule a site visit with Jill Burt, Procurement Specialist, by calling 515-239-5126 or email at jill.burt@cityofames.org. 1.2 Items inside the non-public sidewalks, driveway (not approach), and structures shall be removed. The components to be demolished and removed include one house, one garage, driveway from the sidewalk to the garage, sidewalks surrounding the house on the east, north, and west side of the house, stairway to the basement and rear stoop, and identified trees and bushes. Refer to the City’s demolition code for specifics. The public sidewalks and drive approach are to remain. All other debris on-site shall also be removed and properly disposed of unless otherwise stated herein. 1.3 Any damage to public sidewalks or drive approach during the Work shall be repaired by the Contractor to the satisfaction of the City of Ames Public Works Department at no additional cost to the City. 1.4 During the demolition, any trees, shrubs, or bushes not physically on the identified properties listed above, shall be replaced at the Contractor’s expense and to the satisfaction of the City of Ames
