Fill Sand, F.O.B. PIT The material for this group is for general maintenance work during 2025. We will purchase the material from the supplier loaded into our trucks at his pit or quarry. The low bidder will be determined by using a haul rate of 25 cents per ton-mile. The quantity on the material quote is an estimate of the total amount needed and the quantity may vary. We may accept any portion of this material from any one bidder subject to availability and cost. The Fine Aggregate Fill Sand shall be FA-6 gradation conforming to Article 1003.04 and the following: Natural and manufactured materials used as fine aggregate are defined as follows. Sand shall be the fine granular material resulting from the natural disintegration of rock. Sand produced from deposits simultaneously with, and by the same operations as, gravel coarse aggregate may contain crushed particles in the quantity resulting normally from crushing and screening of oversize particles.
