The successful bidder will be required to provide the Town with two, 40-yard roll-off containers at its Physical Services Complex located on Town Farm Lane in Berlin, CT. These containers will be located at the Recycling Center where they will be loaded and filled by Public Works Forces. The containers will be filled with miscellaneous light iron/white goods which have been disposed of by local residents. These items may include, but not limited to, such items as washing machines, dryers, air conditioners, refrigerators, lawn mowers, snow blowers, bedsprings, automobile parts and accessories. Items are subject to change based upon the State of Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s collection policies. Hazardous materials will be removed and collected by Town Forces for proper disposal prior to their placement into the roll-off containers. Once loaded and filled, the successful bidder (upon notification by the Town) will be required to remove the container and replace it with an empty 40 cubic yard container within 24 hours.
