The City is seeking Qualifications from qualified design-build contractors to expand, renovate and repurpose the existing building into a functional office space for managing the administration and operations of the Covington Water-Sewer Department. This design-build project aims to create a modern, efficient workspace that meets the specific needs of the City’s public works department while adhering to all relevant building codes and regulations. The existing building is a single-story, metal structure, one roll-up entry door, one pedestrian entry doors, and no interior walls. Following the 30x30 addition to the existing 30x50 building, the space will be remodeled to provide one (1) standard bathroom, one (1) bathroom with a shower, a furnished kitchen with stove, microwave and refrigerator. The finished space will also include six (6) office spaces, a crew room, a conference room, and storage areas. The existing roll up door will be removed and replaced with a glass front. All electrical, sheetrock, paint, ceiling, lighting, flooring, and other necessary fittings and finishes are also to be included. Interior improvements will include adding walls to subdivide the existing space into separate functional areas.
