FIRE EXTINGUISHERS Contractor shall: • Perform annual inspection of all Fort Mill School District Fire Extinguishers in accordance with NFPA 10-2018, and ensure that each extinguisher has a current inspection tag. • Identify and correct any noted deficiencies or replace fire extinguisher immediately, as required. Any replacement /repair deemed necessary is to be reviewed with the Director of Maintenance before concluding the inspection. • Consult Director of Maintenance before replacing any standard ABC fire extinguisher with a specialty extinguisher K-series etc… • Ensure that no existing designated fire extinguisher location in any Fort Mill School District facility is without a serviceable fire extinguisher at any time. • Annual inspections require documentation provided to the Director of Maintenance showing that all fire extinguishers have been inspected and serviced. KITCHEN HOODS Contractor shall: • Be trained and certified by local governmental authority that has jurisdiction in accordance with the NFPA Code. • Perform twice a year inspection of all Fort Mill School District Facility kitchen hoods and fire suppression systems in accordance with NFPA Code numbers 17 and 96. Cleanings are to be done annually. • Service units that supply hoods (replace belts annually and grease bearings) • Provide documentation to Director of Maintenance showing that all twice a year inspections, servicing and annual cleanings have been completed. • Ensure that all kitchen equipment in immediate area being serviced is covered prior to cleaning/servicing the hoods and suppression systems. • Ensure all immediate surrounding areas and any affected equipment are cleaned prior to leaving kitchen/school.
