CHFA is seeking qualified Agencies to provide individuals and families throughout the State of Connecticut with a mobility navigation service. Mobility navigation is defined as a service for any Connecticut individual or household who wishes to move. Move is defined as a transition into another rental, or a transition to homeownership, both of which can include use of a housing choice voucher. Renters are defined as those utilizing housing choice vouchers, income-based housing or those paying market rents. The goal of mobility navigation is to empower individuals and households with the knowledge and resources needed to transition into the housing of their choice. Mobility navigators will help individuals and households learn and seek out higher opportunity areas, learn and seek out other areas within that state that may not be defined as higher opportunity, provide information on amenities in different communities, connect with landlords, realtors and lenders, mentor on life skills, provide financial mentoring, tenant, and homeowner responsibilities and more.
