• Establish a steering committee of stakeholders, including town and city representatives • Establish and implement a public participation initiative to reach out to residents throughout the County • Prepare memo addressing current best practices in small cities and rural zoning projects • Recommend formatting and organization including whether the new ordinance should be a Unified Zoning Ordinance or stand-alone zoning ordinance with a separate document devoted to land subdivision regulations. • Review development standards in current ordinance and determine whether these should be modified (e.g., edited, removed, or added) • Prepare updated ordinance • Prepare a compiled plan for review and adoption • Participate in two public hearings
