TURNOUT GEAR SPECS: 1) JACKET: a) Bidder shall specify options for both Men’s and Women’s apparel. b) Bidder shall specify options for fit (regular, relaxed, straight, tapered, etc.) c) Bidder shall specify chest sizing increments. d) Bidder shall specify sleeve sizing increments. e) Bidder shall specify any available jacket adjustability options and associated cost increase per unit if selected. f) Jacket closure shall consist of zip and hook/loop. Zipper will have a pull tab attached g) Jacket tail shall be of button or Velcro attachment with stitched NFPA-compliant 3M Scotchlite™, or equivalent retro reflective lettering of last name for the issued individual. (see sewn on retro reflective trim section below) h) A Firefighter Drag Rescue Device (DRD) shall be installed in each jacket. The material and design of the DRD will be listed by vendor. i) The liner system of the jacket shall incorporate an inspection opening. Area designation determined by the vendor. Opening will be a minimum of 10 inches. j) Each jacket shall be equipped with personal flashlight holder on the right chest. The upper part will consist of a strap, double stitched, of the same material as the exterior of the coat. A strap constructed of outer shell material will hold the barrel of the flashlight. The lower strap will be equipped with a hook and loop closure at the front of the strap to facilitate easy removal of the flashlight.
