Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, wire brushing and/or applying paint remover. Seal surface pores with sizing, spackles small holes in surfaces, apply joint compound or easy sand for large holes, cracks and seams. Applies primer, second and final finish coats of pre-mixed paints with various sized brushes, and rollers to interior and exterior walls and ceilings constructed of block and drywall using interior and exterior latex paints. Also paints interior and exterior doors, door and window frames with appropriate exterior paint; • Provide drywall installation, repairs and finishing; o Perform minor carpentry adjustments that are mostly cosmetic such as move a non-structural wall, build a pony wall, or repair/replace countertops; o Assemble/disassemble furniture to include systems furniture, chairs, and desks; o Perform small exterior jobs such as weeding flower beds, leaf raking and removal, and gutter cleaning; o Performing pre and post construction cleanup and associated debris removal; o Cleaning the work area, upon completion of tasks; • Using such tools as brushes, rollers, paint pots, putty knife, broad knife, drop cloths, sandpaper, paint strainer, etc. Equipment includes step ladders, extension ladders, rolling and stationary scaffolding and scaffolding boards; • Using such materials as latex paints and primers, DTM paints, varnish, stain, joint compound and easy sand products; • Provide necessary materials, labor to make emergency repairs to identified area; • Ensuring quality of all work is performed to industry standards and complies with District Building Codes; • Be directly responsible for the care and maintenance of all assigned equipment and tools such as brushes, rollers and other related tools and for proper uses of paints and other materials; • Perform work assignments primarily Monday thru Friday between the hours of 7:30am and 4:00 pm. Emergency repairs may be required on Holidays and after normal scheduled hours; • Available 24 hours a day/7days a week and shall respond to the facility within four (4) hours of notification; and • Remove all debris from the facility and dispose of properly
