The City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) is requesting proposals from qualified consultants to provide design services for the Last Chance Basin Wells 4 & 5 Replacement project. The Consultant shall provide all professional engineering services necessary to prepare complete bid-ready construction drawings, specifications, bid schedule and engineer’s estimate with critical material lead times for the installation and commission of new submersible pumps in existing unused “new” water wells located adjacent to Well House No. 4 and Well House No. 5 in the Last Chance Basin well field. The scope of work generally includes new submersible pumps, valves, meters/sensors, piping, electrical, instrumentation and controls, as necessary to connect the new wells to the existing water distribution system. Work may also include building modification to existing well houses, or demolition and new construction, depending on the design outcome. Integration of well pump controls will be performed by CBJ, and in conjunction with the project.
