The contractor shall provide and deliver a floating wastewater sewage lagoon dredge, required included equipment and start-up as described in the attached bid schedule and attached specifications Section 43 21 44 Dredge Equipment, for the Metlakatla Indian Community (Community) located in Metlakatla, Alaska. The Community’s wastewater lagoon system is located approximately 1 mile southwest of the community. The wastewater treatment system consists of a sludge pond, two aerated lagoons (lower and upper), and a sedimentation basin. See Attachment 5 for aerial image. The dredge will be used to pump solids from the sedimentation basin, lower lagoon, and upper lagoon to the sludge pond. There is an elevation difference of about 54 feet between the sedimentation basin and the sludge pond with the sludge pond on the higher end. Dimensions of the aerated lagoons are 140 feet by 100 feet. The length and width of the sedimentation basin is 290 feet by 46 feet, respectively. The sludge pond is approximately 145 feet by 200 feet.
