A. Outreach Marketing: The Contractor shall be responsible for its own advertising. The CHP will not advertise or promote the Contractor’s company, nor will the CHP have any advertising materials available at the CVEFs. The Contractor shall not promote or advertise its company with any reference to the CHP name, logo, websites, etc. B. Subscriber Rate: The Contractor will be able to charge subscribers a rate per vehicle for services provided to motor carriers enrolled in the EBMS for bypass services. Rates charged shall not exceed the maximum rate identified on the Bid Form for the term of the agreement. The Contractor acknowledges that the resulting agreement will be zero cost to the State of California. Contractor shall not receive any payment from the State of California for the implementation and operation of the system or services. C. Credential and Safety Verification Processing: The Contractor shall be responsible for the verification of current, real-time data of the motor carrier credentials to include: 1) Verifying both the Department of Transportation number and the California number for interstate and intrastate validity of the carrier’s operating authority. 2) Verifying of the carrier’s Inspection Selection System score. 3) Verifying the operating authority and/or permits of California-based carriers, by accepting the data in the format utilized by the CHP, Carrier Information Reporting and Evaluation System (CIRES) program. The Contractor shall be responsible for any research or development required to make the proper connections for successful data exchange between the CIRES program.
