1. General specifications and description Campsite markers are a primary component of an overall system for identifying, reserving, and recording payments at individual campground sites. The markers will also be used to convey information about the campsite features, hold payment slips, and reservation/information cards. The markers will be mounted in exposed, outdoor conditions and should be durable, maintenance free, and attractive. 2. Size and Shape The markers should be 16"-18" tall, 4"-5" wide, and include a clear fronted, open topped pocket approximately 4" wide and 5" tall to hold reservation/information cards. Various types of signage must be permanently attached or incorporated into the marker (see signage below). The units must be flat and mountable to wooden or fiberglass posts. Attachment to the posts will be achieved using screws, rivets, or other appropriate fasteners. Fasteners do not need to be supplied. Pre-described mounting holes are preferred. Units should be self-draining and cleaning and resist damage from freezing and UV exposure. Markers should be rated for 10-year UV life. Units must provide space for attachment of payment (receipt) clips. 3. Signage Flexible signage will be required. Signage must be able to define all of the following campsite information: A) Campground Name B) Campsite Number (minimum 1.5" tall lettering) C) Prime site identification D) Reserved site identification E) Type of site (color coded as per example) a) Primitive Green background white letters b) Electric Yellow background black letters c) Water and electrical Blue background white letters d) Full utility White background black letters e) QR or Bar Code White background with black letters (QR or Bar Codes are site specific and linked to a specific web page. Each Code will be developed by the successful bidder for the given site.) f) Purchase Options Yellow with black letters The pocket (described in Size and Shape above) will hold removable reservation/information cards provided by the campground. The size of the cards will be approximately 3" X 5" in size. These cards must be legible through the clear front of the pocket. The Reserved site identification should show through the clear front of the pocket when the pocket is empty. Concise order forms for conveying specified signage for each marker must be available.
