3.0 SCOPE OF WORK 3.1 Engineering Services The Contractor shall be ready and able to perform the following types of engineering services and tasks as assigned (through written documentation) by the Administrator. Work shall be completed in house or by approved subcontractor. Typical assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following: Assist with facility improvement, maintenance and repair issues including design of pavements, concrete slabs, drainage and water conveyance improvements, minor structural modifications, mechanical system replacement and other general facility engineering tasks. Tasks may include technical studies, design, preparation of procurement specifications and bid documents, and construction oversight. Assist with environmental issues including permit and license applications, collecting soil and water samples to determine physical properties or chemical constituents, and assessment of engineering or environmental conditions. Provide design and construction support services, including constructability reviews, value engineering reviews, contract management, and on-site and off-site quality assurance inspection services. Provide office updates, HVAC updates, contractor coordination and coordination of minor building repairs as necessary Provide surveying and CAD support services, including grade staking, volume calculations, development or compilation of record drawings, preparation of CAD drawings and graphical materials Provide surface drawings for use in volume modeling software. Prepare technical reports and (if needed) serve as an expert witness on behalf of SWS Provide equipment management support including equipment / component life evaluations and replacement recommendations Assist with training of SWS staff Digitalize existing SWS Drawings and Records that are currently in a hard copy format.
