Background: Wildlife pharmaceuticals are used in a wide range of projects within the department. We have purchased a variety of pharmaceuticals from multiple companies, including potent opioids for chemical immobilization, reversal agents for potent opioids and other sedatives, alpha-2-agonists to work alongside potent opioids for preferred drug combinations and for captive research animal facilities, antibiotics, and human emergency drugs to meet safety requirements on chemical immobilizations. Awarded vendors will supply animal pharmaceuticals to the Department on an as-needed basis. The state will submit a DO (delivery order) via email when the drugs are needed. Contractors can make their entire catalogs available to for this contract.
