The construction is primarily of four fiber-optic conduits, with one 288-strand fiber optic cable being pulled in one of the conduits. Boxes and hand holes are located at regular distances throughout the RCR. A map of the general route is shown below in Figure 1. The general contractor for the project is Danella Construction. The A/E of record is CTC Technology and Energy. The primary goal of this procurement is to select a qualified firm to provide the following services: 4 Construction Management (CM) The role of the Construction Manager (CM) is to act as the Owner’s Representative on this project. Under the provisions of the contract with the general contractor, the successful proposer will provide services as the Project Manager under the direct supervision of the Executive Director of the Authority. The Authority will rely upon the CM to represent its interests as provided in the contract. Among the responsibilities of the CM are: (1) coordinating project meetings and pay applications; (2) coordinating communication between the A/E (if the CM is not also the A/E) and the general contractor; (3) providing direct, daily supervision of the activities of the general contractor; and (4) advising the Executive Director on proper courses of action to be taken on major construction issues.
