I. OVERVIEW. Purpose of this solicitation is to Furnish and Deliver a 72 Inch Riding Mower for the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR). The Contractor shall furnish qualified labor, equipment supplies, materials and appurtenance, whether actual or implied, to perform the services to the satisfaction of the City. II. TECHNICAL/PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS. A. Model: New, or current production model, in general design, performance, and operation, and meeting the following specifications here. B. Operational Requirement: The riding mower as specified herein will operate several hours a day, Monday to Friday, under conditions that may include hilly, uneven terrain, thick bladed grass and wet grounds. In addition to all other requirements herein, the apparent successful offeror may be required to demonstrate the ability of the rotary riding mower offered to perform under similar conditions. C. Drive: 4-wheel drive, 4-wheel drive track stance prime move, rear wheels must be shaft driven with outfront rotary deck. D. Engine: 24 horsepower at engine rated rpm, 68.6 cubic inch displacement, three (3) or more cylinders, four (4) cycles, diesel fuel, liquid cooled, with heavy-duty or industrial air cleaner, spark arrestor muffler, and pressurized lubrication. E. Radiator: Heavy duty or industrial type radiator. F. Electrical System: Twelve (12) volts with battery, glow plug(s), alternator and key ignition system. G. Gauges and Diagnostics: Hour meter, fuel gauge, engine temperature gauge or warning light, oil pressure warning light or gauge. H. Frame: Steel.
