Waiakea Intermediate School (WIS) is seeking professional development services to enhance its Honors program. The scope of work includes comprehensive training for all teachers and specialized training for Honors teachers. The general characteristics of intellectually gifted and academically talented students shall be incorporated throughout training sessions as foundational knowledge. Training shall cover differentiation strategies, curriculum development, instructional practices, self-regulation, and socialemotional learning (SEL) integration. The project includes on-site visits for classroom observations, curriculum reviews, and consultations. Additionally, a keynote speaking engagement will be held for parents of Honors students to review the honors program and answer any questions.
