5. Initial King Air 200 Training A. Ground School: Initial ground school training shall include, at minimum, 48 hours of instruction in the following topics and aircraft systems of a King Air 200: aircraft flight manual, Crew Resource Management (CRM), master warning system, electrical system, lighting, fuel system, power plant (PT6A-52, Blackhawk XP), propellers, fire protection, pneumatic system, air conditioning, pressurization, oxygen, ice and rain protection, landing gear and brakes, flight controls, weight and balance, performance and flight planning, and wind shear. Ground instruction shall also include integrated instruction in the Garmin G1000NXi avionics system, and if needed, a high-altitude endorsement per 14 Code of Federal Regulations 61.31(g) and reduced vertical separation minimums (RVSM). A comprehensive written exam shall be given at the end of the ground school session to ensure the student has a thorough understanding of the King Air 200 and the Garmin G1000NXi avionics. B. Simulator: Initial simulator training shall include, at minimum, 12 hours of pilot flying in a full motion Level D Simulator and shall include the following: briefing, preflight procedures, normal and abnormal engine starts, pre-takeoff checks, normal and rejected takeoffs, takeoff and departure phase, inflight maneuvers, instrument procedures, arrival and approach phase, landing and post flight procedures, special emphasis areas, emergency procedures, landings and approaches to landings, after landing shutdown and securing, and debriefing. 6. Recurrent King Air 200 Training A. Ground School: Recurrent ground school training shall include, at minimum, 12 hours of instruction in the following topics and aircraft systems of a King Air 200: aircraft flight manual, CRM, master warning system, electrical system, lighting, Garmin G1000NXi avionics, fuel system, power plant, propellers, fire protection, pneumatics, air conditioning, pressurization, oxygen, ice and rain protection, landing gear and brakes, flight controls, performance, weight and balance, and wind shear. B. Simulator: Recurrent simulator training shall include, at minimum, four hours of pilot flying and four hours of pilot not flying in a full motion Level D Simulator and shall include the following: briefing, preflight procedures, normal and abnormal engine starts, pre-takeoff checks, normal and rejected takeoffs, takeoff and departure phase, inflight maneuvers, instrument procedures, arrival and approach phase, landing and post flight procedures, special emphasis areas, emergency procedures, landings and approaches to landings, after landing shutdown and securing, and debriefing.
