PVC SCH40 Fittings: The rigid PVC compound used in the manufacture of SCH40 fittings must be Type I, Grade I with a cell classification of 12454B as defined in ASTM D1784. The compound shall be approved by NSF International (NSF Std. 61) for the conveyance of potable water. The fittings shall be in strict accordance with ASTM D2466. Markings on fittings shall be permanent and include, at a minimum, manufacturer’s name or trademark, fitting size(s), Schedule 40, ASTM D2466, NSF seal of approval and manufacture date. Fittings shall be stored indoors by manufacturer until shipped. All standards shall include latest revisions. Fittings shall be white. Fittings shall be in new condition and no older than 1 year from date of manufacture. A dated certification of compliance with these specifications containing an original signature from appropriate representative of manufacturer or vendor shall be provided to MAWSS upon delivery of the material.
