The City of Clemson is seeking the service of a firm to provide professional consulting services for assisting with development and updating of City of Clemson Engineering Design Manual. The design manual should be a document that outlines guidelines for the design of various municipal infrastructure projects. The selected rm is expected to follow industry leading guidelines and best practices in development of this document, but also must consider the unique local context of the City to develop an effective and efcient set of guidelines. Innovative solutions that can enhance the efciency, sustainability and overall effectiveness of municipal designs are encouraged, but practicality, constructability and cost must always remain a priority. The rm shall maintain a close collaboration with the City to ensure the recommended guidelines in the document align effectivity with existing City requirements and/or provide suggestions for updates to streamline existing processes.
