1. All asphalt emulsion furnished shall be in accordance with the requirements of section 902.01 (b) of the most current INDOT Standard Specifications, including any Recurring Special Provisions, available at: https://www.in.gov/dot/div/contracts/standards/ 2. Asphalt emulsion shall be composed of an intimate homogeneous suspension of base asphalt, an emulsifying agent, and water. Asphalt emulsions may contain additives to improve handling and performance characteristics. 3. An emulsion which fails to perform satisfactorily in the field shall be cause for rejection, even though it passes laboratory tests. Rejected materials shall be replaced at no extra cost to INDOT. 4. The vendor shall provide technical support/troubleshooting in the use of all materials awarded to the vendor. 5. Delivery tankers will be equipped with sampling ports.
