This project includes the removal of existing VCT and underlayment, furnish and install new underlayment, LVT flooring, and base in classrooms and office, at Franklin Middle School as specified. SCOPE OF WORK ● Contractors can schedule a pre bid meeting with the Construction Project Specialist prior to bidding the project. ● Contractor shall verify measurements and quantities provided with this scope of work, all quantities provided are approximate. ● Remove and dispose of existing VCT flooring, underlayment, and vinyl base. Remove any remaining fasteners or glue from the subfloor in preparation for new underlayment. ● Install new ¼” APA rated birch plywood underlayment, A or B sanded. Allow material to condition to the installation location per manufacturer recommendations. Luan underlayment is prohibited. Sand plywood edges to correct height discrepancies. ● Prepare underlayment to receive new flooring materials by filling in control joins, holes, indentations, etc. with latex cement underlayment compound compatible with flooring adhesives. ● Install new Armstrong Commercial Flooring Spettro English Gray ST932 LVT in the following areas: o Classroom 206 - 720 SF o Office 206A - 225 SF o Classroom 208 - 725 SF...
