Bidders may propose alternative surface types and provide details on the benefits, maintenance requirements, and longevity of the proposed materials. Code requires blue or white surfaces. Repairs & Patchwork: Any necessary structural repairs to the pool shell, including but not limited to cracks, holes, or structural damage. The contractor must inspect the entire pool shell and ensure proper repair and preparation before resurfacing. Waterproofing & Sealing: Application of appropriate waterproofing and sealing agents to ensure the longevity and integrity of the new surface. Pool Equipment & Fixtures: Removal and reinstallation of pool equipment and fixtures (ladders, handrails, drains, skimmers, etc.) as needed to facilitate the resurfacing work. Final Inspection & Cleaning: Complete cleaning and inspection of the pool after resurfacing. The pool must meet all local health and safety codes upon completion.
