1. The bus must have a minimum of 52 seats 2. The bus must be a 2018 or newer model. Buses older than 2018 will not be accepted. 3. All mechanical equipment must be maintained at or above industry standards 4. Tires must be in excellent condition 5. The bus must have Wireless Internet Connectivity 6. The bus must have TVs and DVD Players 7. The bus must have ample storage for all sports equipment 8. The bus must have working air conditioning and heating 9. The bus must have working restrooms 10. The bus must have GPS 11. All drivers must have a cell phone 12. Hotel rooms will be the responsibility of LSU Alexandria 13. Driver must be dressed appropriately and present himself/herself in a professional manner at all times 14. The bus company must have a 24 hour contact name and telephone number for emergencies 15. Athletic competition schedules are tentative; therefore, dates and time of departure are subject to change during the season. Trips may be canceled, and/or new trips added. Service may be required on any day of the week. More than one sport may need buses on the same day. 16. Supplier is required to submit a list of equipment meeting specifications, if requested, prior to award of the bid 17. The supplier shall be responsible for maintenance and repairs of all charter buses. In the event of mechanical malfunction or breakdown, the supplier will be responsible for providing replacement transportation for the University so that they arrive at the scheduled event. All costs associated with this type of event are the responsibility of the supplier. 18. Supplier must have a satisfactory DOT Rating, have random drug and alcohol testing, and adhere to Federal Motor Coach Carrier Safety Regulations. 19. LSU Alexandria will not accept subbed out buses. Buses must belong to company providing the bid. 20. See Exhibit A for the current baseball, softball and basketball schedule.
