The contractor shall provide Missouri Graduate Education Rural Program Expansion for the Department of Health and Senior Services in accordance with the provisions and requirements stated herein and to the sole satisfaction of the state agency. The contractor shall expand the contractor’s existing MO residency program by establishing a new rural residency track that is accredited by ACGME as a Rural Track Program (https://acgme.org/initiatives/medically-underserved-ares-and-populations/rural-tracks/) by the end of the life of the contract. The RTP shall be sustainable long-term through viable and stable funding mechanisms, such as Medicare, Medicaid and other public or private funding sources. The contractor’s ACGME RTP application shall be for a new rural track program with the approval of a permanent complement increase request and the addition/identification of at least one new rural participating training site for an existing program of the same specialty. The contractor shall begin training its first resident class no later than July 2028. The contractor shall train physicians from one of the following specialties to practice in and meet the clinical needs of rural populations.
