The Department of Public Works has listed the following specifications for screened sand to be used for road cover. All screened sand shall conform to the Standard Specifications for MA DPW Spec. # M4.02.02 Materials to be furnished, hauling and delivery shall comply to the relevant provisions of Massachusetts Department of Public Works now known as Mass. Highway Department. Sand shall be composed essentially of clean, hard, strong, durable and impermeable particles resistant to wear. Free from organic matter, loam, clay and silt and be properly washed. Estimated Total: 5,000 tons for one year usage. Delivery of the Washed Screened Sand to the Department of Public Works, City Yard, 101 Lamb Street, Attleboro, MA in trailer truck loads as required.
