The scope of work generally consists of the construction of the first phase of the Beeline Trail which includes approximately 4,300 linear feet of paved multi-use trail beginning on the southerly side of West Main Street (SR 555) just east of the Route 72 eastbound overpass, Bridge No. 02913, and continuing in an easterly direction along the southerly side of Route 72 behind the local businesses. The trail will cross both Curtis Street and Grove Hill and will then continue along the southerly side of Lenox Place, heading east to the intersection of Lake Street and Columbus Boulevard. It will then cross over to the northernly side of Columbus Boulevard and continue to the project limits at Washington Street. The proposed project is intended to provide a connection between the Beeline Trail Phase 2 project at the westerly limits and the recently constructed section of Beeline Trail at the easterly limits. The construction of this project includes a paved multi-use trail, limited drainage improvements, fencing, curbing, concrete sidewalks, retaining walls, construction of a small parking lot, street trees, minor landscaping, application of painted mural and restoration of disturbed areas.
