Project Overview: The irrigation infrastructure at Neosho Golf Course is starting to reach its limit and needs upgrading. The scope of this project is to be completed in two phases. Phase one will happen in the early spring of 2025 and consist of irrigation head replacement on holes 11 – 18, putting green, driving range tee and hole number 1 and we will also be installing a computer to operate the irrigation of the back 9 holes. Phase two will happen in the spring of 2026 and consist of irrigation head replacement for holes 2 – 9 and hole 10. The computer that will be installed in 2025 will be able to operate the new heads on the front 9 in 2026. Scope of the project: Contractor will be selected and will be responsible for the irrigation head installation and the digging up and removal of the old irrigation heads. The new heads will be installed with new swing joints. The contractor will also be responsible for installing a 500 station Hunter irrigation controller and running new wire throughout the golf course so the system can be run from a computer. All new heads will be Hunter heads. The old heads that are dug up will be discarded unless they are a newer style head then those will be kept and stored at the maintenance facility for future use and repair. All current piping that is in the ground will be left and not replaced, only the heads will be replaced for this project. Summary: We will ask for a bid covering just over 300 Hunter series sprinkler heads, wiring to cover all the back nine, 500 station control panel with radio communication, 300 swing joints, maintenance radio walkie talkie, Hunter support network, in line surge protector, grounding plates, grounding rods, and irrigation computer that will be in the shop. The completion of this project will enable the Neosho Golf Course to water more efficiently and will save us water. This project will also save wear and tear on the pump station since everything on the back nine will be run by a computer program that will control the amount of flow going out on the golf course.
