Areas containing rust shall be removed, replaced/repaired, and painted to match the existing paint on the vehicle. The Department of Safety shall be the sole determining authority on the quality of workmanship. The Vendor shall possess a paint application system and painting area which meets applicable safety and environmental requirements. The application system must be able to produce a color and finish comparable to that of the original manufacturer’s finish. The base coat shall be Ivy Green shall be Dupont 4814 or approved equal and Rose Metallic shall be Dupont 7205 or approved equal. The State shall supply color match samples; Vendor shall be responsible to provide exact match. All paint and clear coat products must be an approved product of the vehicle manufacturer. The vehicle must be prepped in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications prior to painting. The Vendor shall remove and discard any appropriate material prior to painting and shall replace them with OEM replacements for installation after painting is completed. Rear bumper should be removed prior to painting, then repaired and reinstalled after painting is complete. The rear door latch to be repaired and reinstalled. Side panels and any areas damaged or rusted should be repaired and repainted. All door jams and doors shall be painted Ivy Green. Rose Gold base coat shall be 3/16” to 1/4” under/into adjoining panels. The vendor will apply “State Police” logo and “State Police” lettering to the back door as shown which shall be provided by the State. Vendor shall provide no less than three (3) references for similar work done in the last 12 months with the bid submission. The State shall deliver the vehicle to the awarded Vendor’s location after the award is made and shall coordinate with the awarded Vendor the appropriate date and time to do so in advance of delivery.
