• Provide CVM Faculty and Staff with a User-Friendly LIS which enhances efficiency and supports teaching efforts. • Core Laboratory Functions: o Track samples from collection to disposal. o Schedule tests and report results. o Manage data entry for various types of tests (e.g., hematology, microbiology, and pathology). o Integrate laboratory instruments and equipment. o Manage inventory for reagents and consumables. • Sample Management: o Utilize barcode labels for sample tracking and processing. o Allow for the entry of phenotypic information. o Track sample events (e.g., freezing, thawing). o Associate samples with individuals or herds. o Track sample locations, including site, room, refrigerator, shelf, tray, row, and column. • Ambulatory Service Functions: o Provide mobile access for field veterinarians. o Integrate with EMR (supporting JSON with Rest API and GraphQL). o Enable remote data entry and access to laboratory results. • Reporting and Auditing: o Maintain an audit trail of all events and actions. o Implement electronic signatures. o Generate customizable reports that can query across samples, individuals, customers, and populations (herds). o Create reports based on phenotypic information or clinical data. o Provide financial reporting to ERP
