Supplier will have responsibility for developing and implementing a plan to maximize personnel retention ensuring continuing operations of the UNC Cogeneration Facility and Manning Drive Steam Plant throughout the contract period. Supplier’s proposal must set forth its plans for the following: Maximizing retention of employees throughout contract period. Communication plan to employees and University management. Implementation of employee satisfaction program measures. Contract employees must have experience pertaining to the University’s position descriptions. Vendor to ensure all employees receive job specific training within 90 days of starting work at UNC Chapel Hill Cogeneration Facility. Vendor to provide the skill sets for labor categories listed below: Control Room Operators Auxiliary (Field) Operators Personnel work shifts will include a 24/7 rotation for shift work, nights and weekends for the regular pay shifts. Vendor’s personnel must observe the University’s recognized holiday schedule. The Vendor must provide itemized costs for all items invoiced. Including examples of a billing period for each labor category as well as anticipated total expense for the first year of contract. The Vendor shall use the University start / stop days and hours for the beginning and end of a work week for overtime calculations. The Vendor must demonstrate ability to provide a robust training program designed to maintain plant operations and safety, and integrate Vendor employees with University employees. The University may request training program expansion or implementation during contract period if the University deems it necessary. The Vendor’s submittal shall demonstrate how the Vendor’s training program is typically structured and priced, such that the University can select options as appropriate.
