The selected MEP firm will be responsible for providing comprehensive design services to facilitate the chiller replacement. The scope includes: 1. Assessment of Existing System: o Conduct a site survey to evaluate the existing 450-ton chiller and associated systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing). o Assess the existing piping, insulation, pumps, control systems, and electrical infrastructure for compatibility with the new chiller. o Provide a load calculation to confirm the capacity requirements for the new chiller. 2. Design Services: o Develop design documents, including detailed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans for the new chiller system. o Specify all necessary modifications or upgrades to existing systems. o Ensure design complies with applicable codes, standards, and energy efficiency requirements (e.g., local building codes). 3. Bid Specifications: o Prepare a complete bid package, including: Technical specifications for the new 450-ton(or suitable) chiller. Scope of work for contractors. Performance and warranty requirements for the equipment. Quality standards and testing requirements for installation. 4. Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Recommendations: o Propose energy-efficient and environmentally friendly solutions (e.g., variable frequency drives, low-GWP refrigerants). o Include options for rebate programs or incentives, if applicable.
