Two automatic ICU O2 Units for the Small Animal Emergency Service at the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine (LSUSVM) Veterinary Teaching Hospital are needed. Equipment will be used primarily on feline and canine patients, but may be occasionally used on exotics and small equine and food animal species. • Must include soda lime drawer. • Must include digital controls for reading and management of oxygen concentration, air temperature, floor heating. • Must not require manual calibration before each use. • Must have both visual and acoustic alarms for all controls. • Must have inlets for cabling of fluid pumps and other patient care requirements. • Must include sensors that measures oxygen absorption and patient oxygen consumption. • Must include at least one sensor that measures floor temperature. • Must automatically regulate oxygen supply up to 70%. • Must internally regulate temperate and humidity. • Setup/design of the cage units must allow Hospital to simultaneously accommodate and treat two large canine patients and allow for access and manipulation of the patient (breeds such as Great Dane or Mastiff). 4-5ft wide x 2-4 ft deep x 2-4 ft high. May be accomplished with one single unit or multiple units as long as the units meet all specifications and patients are separated by a divider/partition to prevent contact between patients. • Must be on wheels/casters in order to easily move and clean around the unit. Wheels/casters must lock when not being moved. Must have ability to remove casters and stack additional units for future needs. • Must have two access doors with smaller access doors in each panel. • Must have the ability to add vertical and horizontal rails in the future. Rails are not requested for this solicitation. • Must have the ability to stack/add additional units at a later time should expansion be needed. • Must have ability to split large compartment into two smaller compartments. Must include appropriate dividers.
